Policies

Please read all information carefully, these policies and codes of conduct are in place for the safety of all riders and horses. For any questions please enquire.

Entry to Valtair Park is by appointment only and all riders and spectators must report to office upon arrival.

Horse riding is a dangerous and inherently risky activity. Horses are, by their nature flighty and unpredictable and can act in a sudden and unpredictable manner, which may result in harm, personal injury or death and damage to property. Riders and agistee’s of Valtair Park Pty Ltd Equestrian Centre ride/agist at their own risk and Valtair Park Pty Ltd does not accept any liability for any accident, damage, injury or illness to horses, riders, grounds, spectators or any other person or property whatsoever.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that life is busy and horses are prone to things going wrong but last minute cancellations have an enormous impact on a small business.

We require a minimum of 12 hours notice for cancellation and changes to shared arena bookings and 24 hours minimum for lessons and private arena bookings. We send out reminder texts and emails in advance of your appointment to confirm your booking and remind you of the cancellation policy.

Should you not provide us within the set required hours of notice, you will be charged in full.

Booking Online Refunds

If notice is given before the required notice period you will be given the choice by staff to either reschedule your booking or receive a refund.

An email will be sent confirming all changes.

Arena Rules 

  • Present to office BEFORE unloading your horse, if for some reason this is difficult for you please talk to management prior to your arrival to organise an alternate option. 

  • Within the grounds of Valtair Park Pty Ltd all riders must wear approved safety helmets (EA Tagged) when mounting and lunging horses, and approved footwear must be worn by everyone riding or handling horses at all times. 

  • Horses cannot be lunged in the arena.

  • Please clean your horse's feet before entering arena

  • Arena gate must remain closed at all times, especially while riding.

  • Ride left to left, faster gait and lateral have right of way.

  • Please put away any extra equipment used.

  • Please clean up after your horse and use bucket and glove provided.

Please familiarise yourself with the arena rules and arrival regulations before booking, these are in place to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience at Valtair Park.

Use of Areas at Valtair Park

For day use at Valtair Park there are set areas we ask you stick to for the safety of you and your horse. If you can't abide by these rules you will be asked to leave the property immediately. 

Mount and dismount your horse inside the arena.

Float parking just near the indoor, use of the cross-ties and seating area is all available for day use. Please do not enter the paddocks or down the isle of the stables.

If you would like to use the trail, it needs to be organised with management prior to arrival. 

Gift Vouchers

Gift vouches are limited to the service that they are labelled and to the person they are gifted to. 

Our Gift Vouchers are valid for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase and are not redeemable after this time. They are not redeemable for cash under any circumstances and they are non-refundable and non-transferrable to third party. They must be presented at time of booking to be valid – we are unable to honour lost or stolen vouchers. Gift Vouchers can be purchased directly from management at Valtair Park. Clients who do not show or cancel their service within 24hrs will forfeit $50 of their gift voucher amount.

Horse Welfare

Horse welfare is a vital aspect of our duty of care at Valtair Park and is extremely important for equestrian sport. At Valtair Park if management believes at any point you or anyone helping you displays behaviour towards any horse, yours or otherwise in any way that risks the horses welfare, Valtair Park reserves the right to ask you to leave the property immediately. No Bullying Policy

Sadly the equestrian industry is known sometimes for revealing people's dark side, due to this we believe it's important to highlight our strict "NO BULLYING POLICY".

Valtair Park is a safe place to train and spend time with your horse, under no circumstances will bullying or harassment be tolerated within the grounds of the establishment. 

No Dogs

Due to working dogs on site at Valtair Park, guest dogs may only be brought onto the land with prior arrangement with management.
Due to the safety of the dogs, people and horses, this is not something we consider lightly. Failure to maintain control of you dog within the grounds of Valtair Park will result in immediate removal of yourself and the dog from the property. 

No Smoking or Consumption of Alc0hol

Valtair Park is strictly NO SMOKING.

A strict no riding under the influence policy. During events and workshops alcohol may be served. This is to be drunk responsibly and to stay within people only areas.
